Lavender in Valensole


From Aix-en-Provence or from Avignon, this private day tour (1-8 pax) will take you to the lavender fields near Valensole and the beautiful village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, by the lake "Lac de Sainte Croix", where you can enjoy a boat ride. Possibility to end the tour by a transfer to Nice or Marseille. The best time to see the lavender in Valensole is approximately between 10th June and 20th July.

After the pickup at your hotel in Aix-en-Provence or in Avignon, start your 10 hours journey in wild Provence.

Near Valensole have a photo session in the lavender and sunflower fields when blossomed, from beginning June to end July. You will understand what lavender ocean's term means !

Gaze in the beautiful village of Moustiers Sainte Marie, another one of the most beautiful villages of France, have a look at the unique "Faience de Moustiers" : Famous potteries's manufacturing technique imported from an Italien monk at the XVth century, enhanced by the use of the local pigments, especially the blue. Find a nice terrace for lunch (not included).

After lunch you can choose to rent a foot-pedal boat, a canoe or an electric boat to enjoy a first visit of the Verdon Canyon by the river.

If you liked the visit of the Verdon Canyon by boat, you will love to see it from the top passing by the ridge road where we will stop for some panoramic photo stops, and observe the eagles if we are lucky.

Finally we will go back to Aix-en-Provence or Avignon and drop you off in your hotel, or to Nice or Marseille.
