For 1 to 8 people, this private tour combining Provence famoust sites and wineries has been especially designed for travellers who want to know more about wines of the area, but not willing to visit wineries and drink wine all day long. It can also be an alternative choice for a group, when some travellers want to try wine and others don't really mind, to travel together.
Start your tour by a pickup around 9:00, at  your hotel or in a central place in Avignon.

First activity is a visit of the famous medieval village of Les Baux De Provence : Walk in this typical provencal village that used to be a medieval stronghold, the paved streets and the amazing panorama will charm you...
Then enjoy a unique visit of a reconstituted antic roman winery, set on an archeologic site, and taste the Vinum Romanum : Wines elaborated from original recipies found in the writings of eminent latin authors. No-queue entrance tickets included.
The tour continues with a visit of the majestic Pont Du Gard : Discover the famous roman aqueduct, and walk around to find the best photo spot. No-queue entrance tickets included.
Then head off to Uzes. Discover this old medieval city, and after (or before !) a wine tasting of the first "Duché de France" noble wines, have your lunch break (at own expense) in the beautiful historical center of the city.
The next stop is in TAVEL and LIRAC :
Proclaimed first "rosé de France", king of rosés by the Pope Innocent VI, this fresh and fruity pink is very popular through its quality. We can drink it anytime, as aperitive or with a great variety of meals.
Little known out of the area of the Cotes du Rhone, the red is elegant, has complexity and bouquets, deep ruby robe, and the woods and licorice developping aromas during aging, make it an excellent "vin de garde". The white is smooth, fruity and fresh, and can "flavour" as well the aperitive as the dessert.
Then move on to your final destination :
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the world's most famous and the well known wine of the Côtes du Rhône area. Let us take you to two of the most prestigious wine cellars, taste several reds and whites of different years and discover the wine making process and the terroir type.
